EPL (AFC BOURNEMOUTH VS ARSENAL)

Having received a 4-nil thrashing from Manchester City last week, Scott Parker’s men will be looking to redeem themselves as they host another impressive side, Arsenal, at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Can the Cherries put an end to the Gunners’ explosive performance?

I think it’s best we go through the facts we have before coming to conclusion.

EPL (AFC BOURNEMOUTH)

Home Advantage: A familiar point that keeps popping up

The Cherries are currently on an unbeaten run of 11 home games which consists of 7 wins and 4 draws.

Furthermore, their last 3 home matches have all ended in victories, with Steven Gerard’s Aston Villa being the last victim.

Pretty impressive, isn’t it?

Also, their last 4 EPL results against Arsenal here at the Vitality stadium aren’t bad either.

They’ve managed 1 win, 2 draws, and 1 loss.

This should provide more courage for Scott Parker’s men.

What do you think guys?

Arsenal’s EPL Away Form: This should also help boost the confidence of Scott Parker’s men.

The results of the Gunners’ last 5 EPL games away from home haven’t been pretty good.

They’ve managed 3 wins and 2 losses with a goal difference of 0 having scored and conceded 8 goals each.

This definitely looks like an advantage for Bournemouth if we combine it with the 1st point given in their favor.

It’s time to shift our attention to Mikel Arteta’s men

EPL (ARSENAL)

Current Form: Looking at Arsenal’s current results, one would easily forget about the points given above in favor of Bournemouth.

Since the beginning of the preseason, the Gunners have been in blitzing form, winning every official match they’ve played.

In case you weren’t aware, last week’s 4:2 win over Leicester City was their 7 consecutive win since the preseason commenced.

Only a few teams will fancy taking on this Arsenal side, of which I don’t think the Cherries are one.

Head To Head: Here’s another point that puts this tie in Arsenal’s favor.

Although Mikel Arteta’s men might not have the best record playing at Vitality Stadium, their impressive Head to Head record against Scott Parker’s men in the last 5 EPL games should boost their confidence as they go into this game.

They, Arsenal, have managed 3 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss in those 5 outings.

Good enough to be sure of leaving the Vitality stadium with at least a point, isn’t it?

CONCLUSION

With the points before us, I will definitely be giving Arsenal a win, or draw in a worst-case scenario.

As usual, I am open to surprises though.

It’s time to hear from you our esteemed readers. What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
