As stated in yesterday’s post, we promised to provide a preview of today’s AFCON 2021 Semifinal game.

This will Intend fulfilling as we look to see which team will face Senegal in the AFCON 2021 Finals.

Today’s game as we all know involves the host nation, Cameroon, and the most decorated AFCON Champion, Egypt.

No doubt about it, this game would be nothing short of entertaining

Moving straight to business, we will be starting off with the host nation.

CAMEROON:

Excellent Performance: Without mincing words, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have been fantastic.

5 wins and 1 draw in 6 games, that’s no joke at all and they’ve got to be acknowledged for that

Having any doubt that they could come victorious at the end of this game will only mean respect for Egypt if we are to consider the fact above.

Impressive Attack: Talk about Cameroon’s “excellent performance”, then you have to acknowledge their attack as well.

They’ve scored a whopping 11 goals, the highest in the competition thus far.

That will be a huge thing to worry about for the Pharaohs of Egypt, isn’t it?

Note: Those 11 goals were scored by just 2 players, Vincent Aboubakar with 6 and Ekambi, Kari Toko with 5.

Home Advantage: Another huge fact that can’t be ignored.

With the home fans strongly behind their team, Egypt not only have the Cameroon team to play against, but also 90% of the entire stadium.

Do you think they will be able to overcome this huge obstacle?

Well, let’s look at facts favoring the Egyptians before coming to any conclusion.

EGYPT:

Excellent Performance: You think Cameroon’s performance in this tournament is super cool, then take a closer look at Egypt’s.

Bar their first game loss to Nigeria, Carlos Queiroz’s men have excellently dispatched every other opponent they faced.

The 2 most recent victories they had over assumed “AFCON Favorites”, Ivory Coast and Morocco, show how good they are.

You can bet the Indomitable Lions are in for huge trouble as they face off against the unfazed Pharaohs.

AFCON Dominance: This might not look too much of a fact favoring Egypt, but it can’t be overlooked either.

Having claimed 7 AFCON trophies in the past, adding another one to the tally won’t be a bad idea to them.

In short, I believe they will have the urge to do the above, do you think otherwise?

To be candid, I think I will prefer to sit on the fence and watch both teams as they aim to outsmart each other.
